Trying to figure out where a Jade plant goes into a camper when everything is on the floor and the back of the truck topper looks like moving day as a 20-year old college student and each of the three children run, smash, and bump everything, was not as straightforward as we had hoped. We settled into a dance rhythm of the Jade living in the overhead pantry during the drive and residing in the center of the table when stopped.
Here is our buddy watching over us while we try to put things into bins and storage as best as we can without forgetting where everything is going. I am fairly positive if we keep this up, we will wear the hinges and latches on all of the cabinets just to relook for items we just put away and now have no idea where they could have gone or if we left them in Wisconsin.
Did we leave the vegetable steamer for the pan? Yes.
Did we purposely leave the vegetable steamer (based on Kari’s memory) and now wish we had them? Yes.
Did we leave Kari’s sandals? Yes. Wait, no, I found them in the shoe bin.
Don’t even get me started on if we left Kari’s most prized possession somewhere (sourdough starter). That’s another post altogether.
Getting back to our Jade plant. He or She is still here and I feel silently judging us. We still need a name for it, so we are taking suggestions.
